About this opportunity
We are looking for Test Automation Developer for Ericsson Cloud Execution Environment (Cloud) to join our team developing & maintaining Ericsson’s OpenStack and OPNFV-based virtual infrastructure manager (VIM). Our product is the virtualization, control, and management layer of our market-leading network function virtualization infrastructure (NFVi) solution. It is an industrialized Telecom grade cloud platform securing that several applications, such as virtual network functions, can optimally share the infrastructure resources in terms of computing, storage, and network.
Your role will be to develop and maintain Function Test frameworks and test cases for CEE. Activities include enabling automated function testing via developing, improving, and integrating test frameworks, developing and maintaining function test cases.
At the same time, you can constantly learn more about new cutting-edge open-source technologies, and gain experience in various areas of testing, development, and enterprise-level product delivery. You will love this role if you like playing with Linux, virtualization, and containers, working with various network setups and constructs, writing scripts and test cases, troubleshooting, documenting, verifying on real hardware as well as in a virtual environment, and coding to achieve an efficiently working and well-integrated function test system into our CI machinery. More-or-less everything that an engineer can dream of who loves to rock in a constantly evolving environment!
What you will do
- Integrate and improve CEE ROBOT-based test framework
- Write and review function test cases in ROBOT
- Support development organization by making sure test system integrity
- Integrate and improve standard test frameworks into CEE such as tempest, rally
- Continuously improve and optimize testing feedback loops in CI
- Troubleshoot problems found by test cases and improve TC-s
- Constantly develop your competences
You will bring
- Experience with Software testing, test automation
- Proficiency in English both written and oral
- BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or extensive experience in a related area
It is an advantage If you have:
- Knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks (e.g., Tempest, ROBOT, Rally)
- Experience in programming and shell scripting (e.g., Python, bash)
- Worked with Development & Integration tools (e.g., Git, Gerrit)
- Experience with IP networking concepts (TCP/IP, Ethernet…)
