Job Description
As a mid-level Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, extract, and transform raw data, and ensure the quality and reliability of data assets.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement data pipelines and ETL workflows that collect, process, and transform large volumes of data from various sources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet their needs.
Ensure the quality and accuracy of data assets through data profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
Develop and maintain scalable data infrastructure using cloud-based services such as AWS or Azure.
Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide technical support to data users.
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the data engineering industry.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in data engineering or related field.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop or Spark.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing services such as AWS S3, Redshift, or EMR.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience with real-time data processing and stream processing frameworks such as Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
Experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
